Schmidt Kupplung Couplings are the most common couplings for parallel radial misalignments. It does not produce lateral loads -reaction forces- and is the ideal precision component for reduced environments.
Its modular construction allows optimization of torque transmission and radial misalignment capacity for each application.
There are three series available:
No side loads on control
Very compact: The compact design of the three discs and two sets of anchors requires very little floor space.
Full metal: Excellent torsional rigidity thanks to well-balanced component dimensions and a wide effective radius of the anchors.
Modular: The Schmidt-Kupplung is available in three basic series for different performance levels – three different shaft-hub connections -.

Precision. Torque is transmitted solely through the compression and tension of the coupling links. This well-balanced system transmits torque without creating any side loading on the control. Also, the Schmidt-Kupplung will not transmit radial vibration from the input shaft to the output shaft.
